The popularity of golf carts being used as a cheaper and alternative method of travel has led to residents getting the attention of their local authorities to allow them to be street legal.
Golf carts are street local in some southern states and our recent coverage of golf carts being allowed in Iowa has spawned more councils to give the OK to golf carts.
The latest area to allow these vehicles is Fayette County. In a news report Yesterday, it was revealed that, after long discussions, golf carts will be allowed on Sumner Road. The road has a 35mph speed limit and give residents in The Landings subdivision access to Peachtree City without the need for permission of the property owners – as was the case previously. Residents in the local area welcomed the news and the momentum of golf carts spreading across the country continues to roar on.
