Golf carts aren’t just for the golf course anymore, now they can be seen flitting about gated communities, as customer transport vehicles around large complexes, and many more uses that could be easily listed. As the list continues to grow, so the list of available options also grows.
Golf carts as they are designed are not street legal vehicles, but when they have optional equipment added to them such as all required lights and safety features, the carts can tool around legally due to the dearth of governmental laws pertaining to them. The Island of Santa Catalina allows only a certain number of cars and if you aren’t one of the people who can have one, you better have your handy golf cart. Golf carts outnumber standard vehicles by a large percentage.
Other popular options are bigger cushier seats, custom tops, windshields, fancy wheels and racy paint jobs. Maybe you want extra power outlets or a radio. Or maybe you need the seats adjustable to accommodate both short and tall drivers.
If you can dream up a sensible option and maybe even a not so sensible option, chances are, it’s out there; you just need to be willing to pay the extra money to purchase it.
