There are two main types of golf carts on the market and these are gas and electric. When choosing a golf cart, you will need to decide which version would suit your needs best. Which one will you choose? To help you with your decision we have listed some pros and cons of each type of golf cart below:
Gas Golf Carts
Pros
- Easy to refill
Cons
- Risk of explosion in a collision - Expensive to refill due to rising gas prices - Pollution - high noise levels
Electric Golf Carts
- Environmentally friendly - Quiet to run - Cheaper to run - More choice of golf carts
- Difficult and time consuming to recharge
From the points made above, we can see that electric golf carts may be the best option. And due to the shift from gas powered vehicles to electric, this area is likely to be constantly advancing and improving. If you have any more pros and cons, please feel free to leave a comment below.
Electric, Cons..Batteries are VERY Expensive to relace, every two to four years. This more than off sets the cost of gas. Gas is a better, cheaper buy in the long run. Plus you don’t have to worry about batteries going dead miles from your home. In my opinion, gas is the only way to go.
Thank you for adding to the list Dave!
